Our procurement teams make sure that they achieve the best possible long term value when purchasing goods and services for our business – so we can offer our customers the best service. As a procurement category manager you will procure a variety of goods and services for a particular category (e.g facilities or vehicles including; parts, tyres, dealer services) across a significant multi £million spend. No two days are the same as you will continually manage and review expenditure for your category as well as getting involved in tendering, service enhancement and internal controls to identify cost reduction opportunities and deliver savings.
You will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the business as it grows by developing and delivering category strategies and recommendations that move the business forward. You will already have a proven track record in delivering cost savings in a procurement role and you will be educated to degree level in a relevant area, ideally possessing or working towards MCIPS.
