Describe your typical day: A typical day starts with the post being given out and the work shared out. There’s all sorts of different elements in that, it could be queries, dealing with supply queries, depot queries. There’s really quite a lot, it’s quite varied every day.
What’s the working environment like? It’s a very friendly environment and I do like working there. As long as you’re meeting your targets and you’re getting your work done it’s not really regimented, I like that about it. It’s flexible, there’s also a lot of support, there’s always somebody there to help if there’s something you’re struggling with. What I like the most is the environment and the friendly, social aspect of it really, it almost feels as if you’re not at work, it’s like you’re in a little coffee morning, it is very enjoyable and we do all get on as a team.
What are some benefits of working at Northgate? There’s a good share scheme which I’ve had numerous holidays through shares saved. I went to Cyprus last year. It’s just a nice place to work and there’s good prospects. You could start in purchase ledger and then if you have the ability, you could go into any other areas within finance and there’s always opportunities.
Overall what is your experience of working at Northgate? I really love working here, I can’t think of any other job that I would want or any other place I would want to work and I would like to see my working life out here at Northgate.
